Buka Couture has been a household name since 2009 and got its name from my childhood experience with Asthma. According to the American Lung Association, "Asthma affects 6.1 million children under the 18 years of age."
Once, when I was hospitalized, my Mom noticed another Mom, who was struggling to find resources for her son, who also suffered from this horrendous lung disease, that makes it difficult to breathe. My Mom decided right there that she would turn the nickname she had for me, into an acronym. Better Understanding Kids with Asthma (BUKA).
Today, as a young college student, I stand ready to carry the torch for all of those who suffer by bringing awareness to this cause. Visit our online clothing shop to indulge in stylish must-haves, exclusive in-store specials to fit your every curve.
